Product guide

Custom insulated tumblers: what to specify.

A product photo is not a specification. Use a written brief to make tumbler quotes and samples comparable.

Define the physical product.

State the intended capacity, dimensions, mouth diameter, handle requirement, lid type and straw configuration. Include a reference image, but make clear which details are mandatory and which are only visual inspiration.

Ask about the performance you need.

Insulation performance can depend on construction, test conditions and the product design. Describe the performance expectation you want tested, rather than relying on a broad marketing claim. Confirm the testing method with the supplier and evaluate samples under conditions relevant to the product.

Choose a finish that fits the use case.

For food-contact, safety or market-access requirements, obtain current advice and test documentation appropriate to the destination market. Do not infer compliance from a similar product.
