Buyer glossary

Drinkware terms buyers should clarify.

Public supplier catalogs often use overlapping product names. This glossary turns those labels into clearer RFQ questions.

These definitions describe common public catalog labels. They are starting points for a product brief, not technical or compliance definitions.

Vacuum flask / insulated bottle

Usually signals a bottle designed around insulation. Ask the supplier to specify construction, capacity, lid system and the performance test conditions behind any insulation claim.

Tumbler / travel mug

Often describes a cup-shaped or portable drink container. Clarify whether the design includes a handle, straw, leak-resistant lid, car-holder compatibility, single-wall or insulated construction, and individual packaging.

Sports bottle / water bottle

A broad use-case label rather than a complete specification. Ask about body material, drinking mechanism, carry feature, intended user, cleaning access and decoration durability.

Auto mug

A trade term that may refer to a portable mug designed for use in a vehicle. Confirm dimensions, lid operation, leak expectations and compatibility claims instead of relying on the label alone.

Coffee pot / soup jar

These labels describe different use cases and formats. Confirm capacity, opening size, pouring or spoon access, handle design, insulation expectations and packaging before comparing quotes.

Turn the label into an RFQ question.

SourceMora observed these labels across a small public sample from Yongkang company and supplier pages. The sample is useful for vocabulary, not proof of any supplier's complete capability.
