Product guide

Sports water bottles: sourcing checklist.

For active use, comfort, closure design and durability can be as important as the bottle body.

Identify the user and activity.

State whether the product is intended for gym, cycling, hiking, school, team merchandise or everyday use. That context helps define capacity, grip, carry features and one-hand operation.

Document material and component choices.

List the bottle body material, lid material, straw or spout style, seal components and any carry loop. Avoid saying “BPA free” or making other material claims without knowing what product-specific documentation is required for the target market.

Test the real interactions.
